MONTPELIER Gov. Jim Douglas has proclaimed Saturday as Juneteenth National Freedom Day in Vermont, a commemoration commemorating the freeing of U.S. slaves. Two years ago Vermont became the 29th affirm to perceive the end of toil in the United States with a specify holiday.
